Lending a hand

Some logos seem to just run really smoothly. This was one of them. A quick simple brief no complications and an open mind to a solution. A finance consultant with no image or branding found himself in need of some identity work as the business grew in a startling rate. Not surprising in this environment with all the financial jargon and so called expertise found online and off. Our brief was for a strong dynamic logo that would be "future proof" (don't you love that phrase?) 

Yeh I can do that. Try this visual for a future logo design.



The first visuals took on a solid proportionate look giving the sense of stability. Strong graphic (square) solid type with direction. An abstract take on L and A. What else? Oh yeah and some good colour options with variations on a theme.






Okay not true these were the last visuals I showed to the client. I had already shown the first lot sooner than these but we kept on going to explore other possibilities. It reassured the client that we looked at it form a few angles and he wanted a few options to get it off his chest. These ideas above were obvious visual cues. House. Roof. Structure etc. simple visuals.





Now this is the first visual presented and the final design selected in the blue. It all is a bit of  a journey which needs patience and nurturing. But in the end the client loves the result and happily approves the go ahead of letterhead and business card design. Love it. Somedays its even better than others. 

The only thing we did add was the change to the position of the title to below the graphic to give it a level looking base rather than the "teetering" effect the original had.
